Hi, I’m John Beech and like you, I’ve got the modeling bug. Built my first RC model over the winter of 1972, and never stopped. As background, my first product was a dual-lead battery to allow use of two on/off switches (I’d crashed a model due to switch failure). I hit on the idea of using 2-switches in parallel (odds of both failing on the same flight are astronomical), and set about selling the packs.
When a chance conversation with a contractor led to the realization servos had a market beyond hobbyists – if – they met certain MIL-STDS, we turned our focus to that. Turns out it's difficult. Fortunately, difficult doesn’t mean impossible and the trick to better servos involves making better parts. It's a pretty simple formula.
Anyway, as word spread, more and more contractors called on us and just like that, the doors to government and industry were thrown open and business exploded! Meanwhile, savvy modelers picked up on what we were about, so the hobby side of things grew, also . . . and here we are!
